Who Are We! North Down Training Ltd provides training and development opportunities for young people and adults in the Ards, Castlereagh and North Down Borough Council areas. Students can enrol on the Skills for your Life, Skills for Work or Programme-led Apprenticeship "Training For Success" programmes. These programmes will build confidence and understanding through areas such as essential skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT, job preparation skills as well as providing vocational qualifications. We also provide courses through Apprenticeship NI, which are open to existing employees who have paid work of at least twenty-one hours per week or to young people who have been successful in finding paid work for the first time. We have 26 years experience in the provision of quality training and development for young people and adults. North Down Training Ltd has achieved the "Investors in People" award. North Down Training Ltd is based at 31 Regent Street, Newtownards, BT23 4AD where there is provision for the delivery of the underpinning knowledge requirements for NVQs and Technical Certificates; the delivery of Essential and Key Skills; and for the delivery of Chartered Institute for Environmental Health (CIEH) courses in food safety in catering and occupational health and safety. Apprentices gain practical experience and skills through our partnerships with a wide range of local employers. Our centre staff work closely with the employers and each apprentice to ensure that you receive first rate training in your workplace. Apprentices will build skills and earn a wage, right from day one. And if you complete the apprenticeship, you will have formal qualifications employers recognise.
