Training Skills For Your Life
Participants undertake in-house training and assessment for at least ten hours per week for the first two weeks. During the next ten weeks students will attend training for at least twenty-one hours per week, where they will take part in a range of personal development and learning activities. These include careers information, advice and guidance, opportunities for work sampling, literacy, numeracy, ICT and a personal development residential. After this students are encouraged to take part in work placements. From week twenty-six, students are expected to attend thirty-five hours per week. This will include twenty-one hours per week in the workplace and fourteen hours at our centre for learning support and assessment.
Skills for Work
Participants attend twenty-one hours training per week. A work placement may be started after four weeks. Between weeks twelve and twenty-five there are fourteen hours of in-house training per week and seven hours on placement, building up to twenty-one by week twenty five. This will continue up to week fifty-two.
Programme led apprenticeships
Students will undergo a twelve week period of assessment and employability skills training. They are then expected to attend a work placement for twenty-one hours per week with fourteen hours at our centre.
